Patio heaters

When admiring your winter garden, a great investment would be a patio heater to appreciate your outside sanctuary and sit and look at the stars on a colder night.

This is a great way to get cosy and warm. Heaters come in many shapes and sizes from lanterns to free standing variations.

They look gorgeous when not in use and make a great feature in and of themselves.

Comfortable outbuildings

Lots of gardens already have an outdoor garden building or shed. Now is the time to give it a spruce up and make the most of it.

A shed is a great laid back space amongst the greenery and different plants, that can be turned into a calm and peaceful retreat.

You could use it as a space to unwind or even as a place to socialise with friends, to make a change from being inside. It also could be used for hobbies and the things you admire the most, making it your happy place!

Here are some tips to get you started.

Invest in rugs, cushions and throws

There are so many different types of outdoor rugs in particular that won't get damaged. With all different patterns and colours there is one to suit everyone's taste. Cushions and throws are a great way to make your shed cosy, or even beanbags for that extra laid back comfort!

Pick a soothing colour scheme

Light calming colours are usually best for the inside or a shed or outdoor building. This will make the space feel bigger and calmer. Any colour schemes can be changed and added easily with decorative features such as cushions.

Add decorative lighting

Solar lights and fairy lights are beautiful inside sheds. They just give that little bit of warm lighting that you need without it being overpowering.

Add decorative hooks and storage

Maximise the  potential of your shed by utilising the space for storage solutions. It's a great way to make the most out of the space and to have things stored in there that are easy to reach such as blanket boxes.

Fire pits & chimineas

The ground is usually more solid in the Winter months due to frost. This means that it will suffer less damage from any material spillage or footfall than in the summer months.

Any grass that gets damaged in the build of the decking will have plenty of time to recover by the Spring.

At JPW we will also take the stress out of your project by removing any waste, leaving you to enjoy your garden as soon as the work is finished!
